Welcome to La possibilità di un’isola! I am honoured to have you on this journey.
What is exactly La possibilità di un’isola?
Good question. The name of this website comes from the title of a novel by Michel Houellebecq which translate in English as The Possibility of an Island. I read the book long ago, and only later the title resonated with my life.
I experienced possibility and wonder when I decided to leave a mainstream career of HR consultant in Italy to go live in a very special island, the Archipelago of Los Roques in Venezuela.
This unexpected turn in life unleashed a series of events that radically changed my view of the world, a shift that compelled me to keep a journal. lapossibilitadiunisola.com has been online for 9 years now, and followed my trajectory around different countries, particularly Venezuela, Curaçao, Panama, USA and many other small nations.
If it’s your first time here, this trajectory can be confusing and overwhelming so in this page I am trying to give you a road map. Here is how you get started:
#1: WHO IS BEHIND THIS?
If you are wondering who is on the other side of this screen make sure you visit the ABOUT PAGE, to get some scant hints on my biography and few lines on the underlying philosophy of the website.
If you are intrigued by what you find, consider dropping me a note, or leave a comment on one of my posts. I love to hear from readers and meet new people!
If you are even more intrigued and think you have a proposal I can’t refuse check out my professional services.
#2: STAY UP TO DATE
Do you like the vibe around here and want to know what comes next? Subscribe to the newsletter! When I write I value long form writing over frequent and shallow content. If you hear from me twice a month it means that I am having a productivity spree, but the chances of that are very slim.
For more day-to-day and agile interactions follow me on Twitter.
